Nina Simon: "
As for RFPs, here are a couple of things...
--a stage 1 game design contract I wrote for the Balboa Park Online Collaborative. In this case, we were staging the design in steps, and this was the concept development piece.
--the report I wrote for the Boston Children's Museum which they used as the basis for the RFP for their Green Trail game. In this case, we had REALLY detailed out the mechanics of the game and were looking for a web developer/designer to implement (and add a heavy dose of fabulous design). This could be seen as "stage 2" if the Balboa Park example is stage 1.
--stepping back a step, I've attached a brief I wrote for the SF Historical Society to develop a game (at that point, we had nothing, just the vision to make a game). I've attached the kind of proposal we received in response to this brief--this could be seen as stage 0 and would be equivalent to you contracting out the entire "quest" development and creation. The "Game Brief" doc was written for the executive management of the organization for a go/no go decision."
